| BELLA |
|
Dear Elaine,
I agree that you are correct that Bella is always happy to see me and is very excited, even if I am there and
she is sleeping, upon awakening it's like she is seeing me for the first time again. The same is true with my parents, she
is special for she always makes us feel happy know matter how we are feeling. I believe that a dog wags it's tail with
it's heart and Bella Spera does this and like her name in English translation from her Italian name Bella Spera means "Beautiful Hope"
and that is her unique quality and she is appropriatley named as she shows this time & time again. After the sudden loss
of Molly at 6 years old Bella has filled are hearts and home with love and has not given or allowed us to much time
to mourn as we would have because she demands your attention and has so much love to give that she has quickly and not quietly
eased are pain and loss of Molly by showing us that there is to much life yet to be lived and to enjoy it.
We are very happy to have Bells in our lives and thank you Elaine, for breeding & bringing up such
wonderful pupies.
Please feel free to use this as a tesimonial to your professionalism and your wonderful breeding of Elkhounds
@ Caulderwood Kennels.
Sincerely,
Ken Bertone

| ELLI |
|
Dear Gary & Elaine,
I just wanted to share what a delight Elli has been. She is doing fantastic with Crate Training. She has already
mastered "sit", "down", and "shake"; and is always eager to please.
We have taken her to two of my son's soccer games. She is always the center of attention, drawing many questions
about her breed. Of course I brag about Norwegian Elkhounds and your kennel. People can't believe how smart she is at 10 weeks
old!
Thank you for such a wonderful addition to our family.
Sincerely,
Karen

Elaine,
Just finally getting around to sending you pictures of wonderful Maya and our son.
They get along most of the time, although it's often him chasing her around with his tractors. She doesn't seem to mind though.
She's very playful, but gentle with him. Hope all is well. We love Maya very much! She's smart, sweet, and playful...just
what we wanted.
Sincerely, (Maya is a daughter Rob and Joelle
of Shasta & Shadow)

Good evening, Elaine,
Here are pictures taken this weekend of Behra.
She's just about 18 weeks now and has had all of her shots. Next step...spaying in about a month.
She likes playing with the other dogs, although she's not beyond playing with the cats too (whether they want to or not!).
She certainly lives up to her "Spirited" name! I've had many, many compliments
from people in the show and therapy dog world and the vet field about her. Thanks for doing such a great
job with breeding her (and thank Sassy and Shadow too!).
Cordially, Sharona

Tinkerbell and BAYLA at home in Minnesota
|
Hi Elaine and Gary,
Our baby has reached 6 months old so thought I would send you a picture of her and her 'sister'
- Tinkerbell.
She is a real sweetheart but can be a handful, as elkhounds can be.Thanks again for a wonderful dog.
Bayla is so happy and sometimes she thinks she is a poodle, like Tinkerbell, and wants to be a lap dog!! Then sometimes
I think she thinks she is a beagle as she howls when she gets to barking!! Must have heard yours while in the womb, and learned
how to howl!!
Take care, Bonnie Diersen (and Bayla!!)
(Minnesota)

| SASHA |

Miesha, Sasha, & Karma are all
wonderful daughters of our
Shasta and Shadow

|
| KARMA |
|
Hi Elaine,
I thought I would just send you a quick message to update you on
how Miesha, Sasha and Karma were doing. We cannot dote on them enough. These girls are the best dogs and Elkhounds
one could ever ask for! Miesha and Sasha will be 2 years old in just a couple of days and they have really calmed down
tremendously over the past several months – they are threatening to become proper “young ladies”!
Karma just had her first birthday and she is just a doll! Since the day that we brought her home at 4 months of age
(and we told her that she was NOT a Beagle – LOL!), she has just been an angel. She has always been so well mannered
and polite! I enrolled her in obedience school back in October and she did very well.
I was excited to see that both
Shasta and Sassy were having more pups, especially ShastaJ
I will look forward to seeing all of their cute pictures soon.
Take care Elaine – who
knows we may be back for a third spring in a row if all of Shasta and Sassy’s pups don’t get spoken for!
Best wishes,
Liesl Perry Looney and Betty

ABRY @ her home in Illinois (1 year old)
|
Elaine, Abry is beautiful! We get compliments on her often. She's a little spitfire. I
think she knows how pretty she is because she prances around like she owns the place! We're just so happy with Abry
we would like to get another sometime. I always enjoy looking at your new puppy pictures from time to time.

Like I said...He's too smart for his own good!!

SHORTY
2006
(handsome son of our Shadow and Sassy)
|
Elaine,
It's been a long time since I sent you pictures of Shorty. He
is a blessing and we love him so much. He's definitely a mama's boy. He stays by my side all the time.
He loves people and animals but is very protective if he feels uncomfortable with a situation. He has a natural instinct
about how things should be and he has gone so far as to take my hand in his mouth and make me walk away from a stranger.
I have an 8 month old grandson and Shorty adores him. All I have to say is "baby" and you can see his
face light up. He is so gentle. I can't thank you enough. Here is a picture at the cabin when he played in
his first snow. As you can tell, he loved it.

Hello Elaine,
I thought I would
sent you a short note and let you know how Chewie is doing. Its hard to believe he will be a year old in just a few
months. We have really enjoyed having him as a pet. He is very energetic and loves to play with Bryan. He
sits with Bryan in the den and watches soccer games with him.
We took him to
the vet a few weeks ago and he is already almost 50 pounds. Our vet just loves all over him when we take him in.
She always comments on how beautiful he is.
Here are a couple of pictures that
I just took today so you can see how he has grown.

SIMON - handsome pup of our Shadow and Shasta very happy at
his home in Rhode Island
|
|
|

|
|
...Just wanted to write a quick email to let you know that Simon
is doing really great! He is 23 pounds and about 16 inches tall now. He is SO handsome...and such a great pup! He was pratically
housebroken when we got him, and is a professional at it now. Goes to the door, sits, then barks to be let out if we dont
see him quick enough. He really is a great companion and a good watch dog too. We have enrolled him in training class, and
he loves it. He is the superstar...picks up on everything so fast too. He also has an amazing personality...its like having
a little person around. He will tell us when he wants something, and even talk back to us when we "punish" him...it is so
funny!
He absolutley LOVES the snow too! We have gotten 3snow storms since Thanksgiving, so he is having a blast. This
past weekend we got about 8"...so it was up to his belly. But he loved it anyway.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Tiffany,
Matt & Simon
