We are a small Kennel and Breeders of quality AKC Norwegian Elkhounds. We breed to enhance the lovable and devoted traits of their personalities in order to produce the best possible specimens in our puppies as warm, lovable companions and playmates for you and your children. This breed very easily becomes "Man's Best Friend"! Our Elkhounds have been DNA profiled to ensure Breeding Integrity

OUR KENNEL

 

We choose to keep our Elkhound Puppies here at Caulderwood until at least 8 weeks of age. We feel this to be important because the first couple of months is such a critical time of learning for every puppy. Before a puppy can be a well-mannered family member, he first must learn how to be a well-mannered dog. The puppy's Mother teaches her litter early  the rules of being a dog; and these lessons then translate into the things that enable you to train your puppy to become a member of your family. Our experience has shown that this motherly training helps with the puppies transition to his new home and is very helpful to the new family with their training program and the puppies new family enviornment.

Our Elkhounds are all AKC Registered, and have obtained DNA Certfication to ensure all new Puppy Parents of the integrity of our Breeding Program. All Puppies are vaccinated as is appropriate for their age, and de-wormed accordingly. Our health guarantee covers only congenital defects during the puppies first year. If any develop within the first year, Caulderwood will replace the puppy with a new puppy from our next available litter upon presentation of a Licensed Veterinarian's certification of the congenital defect, with verification by our own Veterinarian. The Veterinarian's fees and any cost of shipping will be at your expense.
