Hello Elaine,
We purchased a lemon/ beagle from you
about this time last year. We live in New Hampshire. He was our first puppy ever; my 3 year old daughter and wife absloutely
love and adore him. We named him Parker. He is a great dog!!! Parker is very loveable and cuddly and will do anything to please
you. My sister also has a tri-color beagle and her name is Amber. Amber
and Parker love to run, play and wrestle with each other when ever they are together.
I just wanted to take a moment to update
you and thank you again for giving us the opportunity to make the addition of Parker to our family. Hope all is well with
you and your family!
Respectfully,
Parker ~ October 2011

Elaine,
We have had Shiloh for a year this past March. We can't imagine our lives without this beautiful, energetic, and
loving beagle. Shiloh is very loving and commands to be held like he is still a tiny puppy on a regular basis. He is such
a snuggle bug and refuses to go to sleep at night unless he is laying in someone's arms at bedtime. Our son Blake and Shiloh
are the best of friends. Anyone that sees Shiloh can not stop complimenting how beautiful he is and how sweet his personality
is. He won a local pet photo contest here at home and was placed in a calendar. He is just too adorable to resist. Thank you
so much for this beautiful beagle who is forever in our hearts and a part of this family.
Again, thank you.
GOD BLESS YOU!!

Elaine, Just took this picture of Eddie, our wonderful puppy we came to Caulderwood and picked up as a tiny
6 week old munchkin almost 6 years ago. He continues to be one of the most incredible dogs ever - very smart, sweet, loving
and, of course, gorgeous. He is everything that you told us he would be and much, much more. We thank you, once again,
for the great quality of beagles you have. Just thought you would enjoy seeing Eddie after all these years. He stays
about 30 lbs., is sleek and shiny as a satin ribbon and romps and plays in our fenced half acre from morn till night,
then cuddles with me in a chair on the deck or on the sofa with Jay. He IS a much loved little fellow.
All the
best,

We purchase a puppy from you about three years ago and I want to tell you a little about Zack and send you pictures
of him. He has a wonderful personality and likes to sit in my lap and get kisses on the side of his face. He doesn’t
like to kiss back but he expects his. He is the only boy in the house now for we lost our oldest beagle on 11.15.10 It was
a very hard time for us. Zack was the one who let us know something was wrong with Blue. Zack is very loved and spoiled along
with our Mini Schnauzers who are girls. I hope to breed him so I can have one of his pups maybe two. Thank you
for such a beautiful an wonderful dog who I call one of my kids.

Lady Bailey Anne (Bailey) is 4 1/2 years old now. She just had another perfect vet visit. Our daughter Emily
received Bailey as her 15th birthday present. Emily has just finished her first year of college and is back home with Bailey
for the summer. Caulderwood was recommended to us nearly five years ago by a friend from my wife's work in Brentwood,TN. Your
website picture of this little female "runt" of the litter stole our hearts. We contacted you and have been so pleased in
every way. Bailey has always had Pro-Plan on your recommendation. She lives in the house and runs a large fenced back yard.
She chases squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, and birds multiple times each day. Her health, activity, weight, and coat are optimal
for a 4 1/2 year old. More than all of this, though is the blessing Bailey is to our whole family and our friends who enjoy
knowing her.
This is Bailey at age 4 in our back yard. She loves running across the back yard in the snow. I will try later to find
an indoor shot from this summer so you can see her beautiful coat and coloring. Her petite size in maturity is exactly what
we hoped for. She was smaller (runt) than her siblings, but has always been robust and energetic (although at times she settles
for hours like a regular lounging hound). Her vet always remarks at her great "personality" and health. Her new favorite past
time is watching out the window until a squirrel, chipmunk or rabbit crosses the back yard. She then bays to get out. I will
try to find the picture of her with front paws reaching way up on the tree with a chipmunk 20 feet above her. We have never
hunted with her, but great breeding is evident. She looks like a classic hunting champion in that pose.
We cannot imagine a sweeter canine family member.

Hi Elaine,
At 4 months old, Rio is doing fantastic! Mike and I love having him around, and he
has really made our house feel like a home. He's pottytrained, and is making good progress with "sit" and "down."
He's always happy and loves to fetch, chew on sticks, and play with other dogs. He's never aggressive, and he's so smart!
Training him has been much easier than we had originally anticipated. He's adjusted really well to our household,
and he has made adjusting to him a breeze. He's started to lighten up in his hind legs, and his coloring is absolutely
perfect. I attached a couple pictures of him for you! Thanks again for giving us such a well-behaved and beautiful
beagle.

Elaine,
I have been meaning to send you pictures of our Gunner for a while. Sorry it has taken me so long to do so. As
you can see he is quite the clown. He is absolutely my best friend! An angel in our family. Grandbabies wouldn't know
what to do without him. Totally amazing just how smart he is. You can see his little mind working when ever
your sad or happy. I still believe somehow he communicates with the grandchildren. I continue to tell everyone how you
helped us in adopting the newest member of our family and how we will be coming to you when we're ready to adopt again.
I thank God for you and for giving us the chance to be this little guys parents. And as always in this families eyes
your simply a miracle worker!!
God Bless

Hi Elaine,
Its has been a very long time since I last spoke to you. Hopefully you will remember who
we are. We are the couple who purchased the puppy that Miss Tawny Rose had, she was the only little girl from
the litter... it was 3 years ago. We named her Lucy. She came to live with us in Asheville, NC.
She has been absolutely wonderful! We couldn't ask for a better dog. I am so sorry
that I really haven't kept you up to date with her. She is very smart and knows so many tricks, and knows when she does
wrong, and knows when she is a good girl. She has her fears though, she isn't too fond of the car even
though it takes her to fun places like hiking and good outside fun for the most part. Of course we have those vet visits
too but she seems to like her vet very well. We are still taking her to Pet Smart to the Banfield clinic. We have
since moved out of Asheville to a home out in the country. She has a beautiful fenced in yard equipped with a doggie
door so she can go out on her own free will. Of course, She is a bit of a princess by not wanting to get her toes wet
when its raining or snowing. She spends a lot of time inside watching animal planet.
We absolutely love her and will come back to Caulderwood for our next beagle! Hopefully
you will still have beagles!
Thanks
Jennifer Guyer

Our family wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas, and send an update on our 'boys'.
Last June (2010) we adopted two of your beagles for our two small sons. We named the pups, Copper and Hunter. I wanted
to let you know what a delight the pups have have been. They are soo amazingly good with our boys...always patient and playful,
and tolerant of many hugs and kisses. They have brought much joy and love to our family, and we thank you for breeding
such special pets!! I have attached a recent photo of 'all our boys'....we used it as our Christmas card photo this

Hi Elaine!
I hope things are going well in East TN! Dennis and I wanted to send you an update of
our little girl Willow. She is now 4 months old and full of life! Willow is so energetic and feisty, but so loving
towards everyone she meets. She loved her older brother Wrigley the moment we got home. Everywhere he goes, she
goes - everything that he does, she does - it's too cute! They love to take naps together, as you can see from the picture!
We are getting ready for Christmas and they were both happy enough to pose in front of the Christmas tree. Thanks
again for breeding such a wonderful dog. She has brought so much fun to our family and we love that Wrigley has a little
sister he can play with now!

Dear Elaine, I just wanted to write and tell you how Shiloh is doing. He
went for his 9 week shots and check about two weeks ago. The vet said he was in perfect health. He also
said that he was a perfect representive of his breed and was truly a beautiful puppy. Everyone we meet comments on how
beautiful is markings are. Not only is he beautiful he has the sweetest personality. He is a little snuggle bug!!
He love to snuggle and sleep. He also loves to play with our cat. The two of them together is hilerious. Thank
you so much for such a wonderful dog. I don't know how we made it without him. He is such a part of the family.
Oh, and he loves the ballfield. The kids have a fit over him and if he isn't there to cheer them on they want to know
why. He is also, doing great with training. He is a smart little fellow. Again, thank you for such a wonderful
dog. He has helped to heal us and ease the pain of losing our beloved boxer and he has brought life back to this house.
Our cat is happy for the first time since we lost our dog in October. They were so close and now he has a playmate again.
We were worried but they get along great. They love to wrestle and play together. It is so cute!! :) I can't thank
you enough. Here is a recent pic of Shiloh. Sincerley, Zane, Christy, Blake, and Shiloh
Hey Elaine! We just wanted to update you on Shiloh. He is doing GREAT!! He has to
be the most precious dog!!! We are so blessed to have him in our family. Everyone we run into with him has a fit
over how adorable he is. Today we took him to a pet fair in our county. They had a little pet parade and Shiloh won
a little award for being so adorable!!! He is three months old today and is precious!! Thank you so much for such
a wonderful puppy!!! I will attach some photos. One is from the ride home when we picked him up from you.
I have continued to take a weekly photo to document how much he as grown. Again, THANK YOU!! :)

Dear Elaine,
My name is Chelsey Mishra and you sold my husband, Mark, and I a beagle in mid
January who was Shelby's female #1 and we named Penny! I wanted to write to you and give you an update on how Penny is doinng.
She is one of the best dogs I have ever had and is my first beagle, but I am now obsessed with beagles haha. We are so happy
we picked her and love that she is a red and white beagle which is so unique. Everyone who sees her comes up to pet her
and thinks she is the cuttest beagle they have ever seen. In fact, some of our neighbors who we really didn't talk to much
are now all the time talking to us and Penny, and everyone comments on how happy she looks. Every time we go to the vet, our
vet and all the workers love to see Penny and say how she is just the cuttest beagle they have ever seen.
I take Penny
on 2.5 mile walks five days a week, which she LOVES. I guess she is a bit spoiled, she has lots of toys and bones to keep
her occupied. She is a very smart dog, she is now almost 6 months old, and she already knows how to sit, stay, come and other
words like "bedtime" and "no". She does have a true beagle personality though and is still a little stuborn.
We really love Penny and she is sooo sweet and beautiful! She has become a real part of our family and we
thank you! We have attached some pictures for you to see. Thanks again for such a wonderful family friend!
Sincerely, Chelsey

A Short Dog Story
by Patrick Finneran
March 29, 2010
Caulderwoods Miss Lily Anne has come to live with us
Come the end of March, she will have been with us for a year. How she came to live with us is quite a story. Oh, before
I forget, I ought mention that Lily is a dog. A Beagle to be specific.
Back in '07 at age 72, I was diagnosed with Non-hodkins Lymphoma of the stomach, and began a long, arduous, series of
chemotherapy and radiation treatments. When it began I weighed in at close to 200 pounds, and stood five-foot ten. When I
was finally declared, "cured" I'd lost a good 100 pounds and an inch or so in height. Much of this time I was in hospital
confined to bed. When I couldn't take in enough nourishment to counter the weight loss, my body began to consume itself. Consequently
my muscles and body atrophied to something akin to a ten year old boy's physique. At 200 pounds I wanted to loose about 20
or so pounds, but this was ridiculous! What has all this got to do with a dog? I'm getting there. Ever since
I can remember my family have had dogs- Cocker Spaniels, English and Irish Setters, German Shepards. I can even remember each
one's name. So dogs were a big part of my life. When I was finally released from hospital, during one of my many
follow-up visits with my Oncologist, Dr. Mary Lou Mayer, she urged me to get out and walk to rebuild my body. I mentioned
to her that I was thinking about getting a dog. To my surprise far from discouraging the notion, she urged me to do so. Then
began a short discussion about what I should get. I allowed I was seriously considering a Bearded Collie. She regarded me
for a moment and then urged me to consider a Beagle. The thought had never entered my mind. Part of a novelist's
life is spent in research, so I launched into a thorough study of the two breeds. Although I was predisposed to the Bearded
Collie, I soon learned from my research that our two physical conditions and opposite temperaments would not be good for either
of us. So, I began a search for a reputable Beagle breeder in the Indianapolis area. Alas there are none. The closest seemed
to be in the northern third of the state or in Kentucky and Tennessee. This led to an Internet search for a kennel and a dog
for sale. After several days of searching I saw a photograph of Caulderwood's Miss Lily on an Internet site offering AKC
Beagles for sale. "Miss" Lily had just turned four, and had been bread twice. She looked to be just mature enough to be
more docile and ready to "settle down"with a family. Following a fair amount of email correspondence, I decided
to purchase Miss Lily. The Kennel owners, Gary and Elaine Nichols, would not ship her so it was decided that I would drive
down to Greeneville, Tennessee to complete the deal and return home with Lily. It was a good seven-hour trip each way. The
Caulderwood kennel is located out in the rolling hillsides of Tennessee, and after much searching, I managed to find the place.
Turns out it was a very "small" operation- few dogs, each had open space to play and run to their heart's content. Obviously
not a puppy farm operation! Lily proved to be a delight from the moment we met. With a few papers signed, and the asking price
handed over, Lily and I were soon on the way back to Indianapolis. Needless to say we took advantage of each rest area, and
I provided a bowl of water with each stop. She proved a good traveling companion, curled-up on the passenger seat next to
me not much interested on looking out the window- just content to be patted and talked to as we made the long journey. By
the time we got home we were fast friends, and it was obvious Lily considered me her champion and protector. Lily
has proven to be a perfect member of the family. She has taken to each of our adult children and their children. She is a
loving, trusting companion, loves to be taken for walks, and when the evening comes, she insists of sharing my chair with
me while I watch TV or read- if my evening is too busy she will go snuggle up next to my wife in her chair. Lily has another
advantage, she's the perfect size, sort of a "medium size" and has proven to be the most intelligent dog I have ever
owned. She quickly picked up on our verbal commands and hand signals. To top it all off, her face and eyes can be read like
the headlines in a newspaper. To say it is an honest, expressive, open face is not to do her justice. I began
this story by citing the fact that I was not new to dog ownership, having owned several "popular" breeds prior to our Miss
Lily. So, let me end this short story with this quote from Diane Morgan's book on The Beagle: Beagles are excellent dogs in
every way. If you want a dog with the elegance of and Irish Setter, the brains of a Border Collie, the trainability of a Golden
Retriever, and the feisty temperament of a terrier, go ahead and get one of those dogs. But of you want a charming, lively,
happy-go-lucky companion to share your life, make you smile and nourish your spirit, then a Beagle is really the only sensible
choice. Beagles are blessed with the best temperaments in the canine world, the kindest hearts, and the friendliest faces.
Who could ask for more?" Miss Lily is the good looking one on the right. -- Patrick Finneran Indianapolis

Elaine,
Hello! Just wanted to give you an update.....Jax
just turned 3 on July 26 (in San Francisco). He has grown into the most amazing, lovable, smart, adorable and beautiful dog
(with a lot of puppy left in him). He has made so many friends.....he is very well socialized, being that we live in a densely
populated City he has no choice. I think so many beagles get a bad wrap due to their barking/howling, so I just want you
to know that Jax is wonderful in that respect. He only uses his voice when needed, provoked, or like a child, when he is tired.
He is amazing with kids, other dogs, all kinds of people, fire trucks, skateboards, bicycles, shopping carts, cats, squirrels
and even gerbles.....you name it. He makes friends with everyone and everything - has grown into quite the perfect companion!!!
He is truly the dog of my life!!! He is so amazing and he has such a connection to both of us. He listens, comes
when is called (even in the park), is wonderful off-leash - which is the most amazing part. We can actually walk Jax off-leash
through the City - he doesn't chase after anything and listens/trusts us extremely well! And, he is the best trail dog ever,
he goes almost everywhere with us! He loves to explore and follows me along trails, crossing rivers, hopping boulders and
swimming at the lake. Of course his nose still gets him into trouble every once in awhile ;) He is fullof love every minute
of the day! We couldn't be happier that he has come into our lives - you guys are excellent breeders. He is a one-of-a-kind!
Thank you!
cheers, -kerrie & laurel (SF, CA)

Gary & Elaine:
After 3 months of living with our boys, we could not be happier or more proud.
Jon and Steve are friends with every dog they meet and happily allow humans
to pet them. They have been to the Biltmore Estate where Steve swam in the French Broad River; they stood their
ground against a black bear about 15 feet away and turned it back into the woods; and Jon is lookout for a hedgehog who lives
in our yard. Most of all, they are so loveable and funny, gentle and handsome. Needless to say, they are
smart and know that they are special. You can close your kennels now because we have the best dogs you've ever

Hi Elaine,
So about our little Padme'. Well she is not so little
any more. She is about 20 lbs and about 11 inches. Everyone in our complex loves her. She is such the
lover. We take her to the park every weekend. Steve and I found this great off the leash park. The whole
thing is fenced in and it leads to a beach. It is so much fun Padme' loves it.
She is starting to swim a little better. We bought
her a life jacket. She just is loving life. We are going to put her in a pet photo contest at Steve's work.
But we can't find just one picture that we like the most because she is just so cute.
So here are a few pics of Padme' talk to you soon. Jeanine

Hi Elaine,
I thought you might like to see Barney at 6 months! I take him to puppy play day on Saturday mornings
since we don't have any dogs in our neighborhood that he can socialize with and or play with. Puppy play day is his favorite
day of the week! He knows it too. He knows where we are going when we turn onto a certain road.
He is so wonderful to have in our lives.
I hope you are all well and are having a good summer.

Just wanted to let you know how Jack is doing!
He's adjusting well to his surroundings and
absolutely LOVES his rabbit squeeky toy we gave him the first night we got him home. Since we've had him he's been in a total
of 5 different homes and has been just great with his potty training! All this taveling has got him very used to riding in
the car...if he has his own seat so he can stretch out and sleep! Jack is definately a laid back, easy going little boy and
sleeps whenever he gets a free minute!
Graham and I are definately attached, and he's really attached to us also. During
the holidays, Graham had him at his parents' and if he'd leave the house without Jack, Jack would wine and whimper til he
got back. I kept him for about 3 days, and he always wanted to be where I was and followed me everywhere! He was so great
with my two little cousins (3 and 1 years old). He loves going for walks in the park. Graham's parents' dogs Sandy (yellow
Lab) and Tee (Bichon Frise) were very excited to see him, and he gets along really well with both of them. We couldn't have
asked for a dog with a more fitting personality to our own. He's loved very very much and gives a lot of love back!
Attached
are some pictures. The first is one of him with his "old man" sweater on. The second is our Christmas card picture we
took on campus at UT.
Graham and I both would like to thank you for answering all our questions we had the day we came
to get him. We absolutely adore Jack and wonder what we ever did without him!
God Bless, Megan Bass

Hello Gary & Elaine
Christmas time has come and gone and we just wanted to take a moment and wish you & yours

very handsome. My son & Jack have become the best of friends, where ever Caleb is, Jack is never that far behind.
We love him probably just as much as he loves the snow! Here are a few pictures to show you how he has
grown. Take care and Thank you again for such a wonderful pup.

| Banks' Charlie Brown |
Elaine,
Hello! I hope all is well. My husband and I visited your
kennels and picked out a beagle back in February for my dad's 60th birthday. I just wanted to let you know how pleased we
are with the family's new addition.
My dad named him Charlie Brown (we call him Charlie, Charles
when he's in trouble) and his AKC name is Banks' Charlie Brown; it has a nice ring to it.
We attached a photo of Charlie outside on my dad's farm in
Virginia. He loves all the smells and the numerous chipmunks there are to chase. He's also got quite a toy collection going!
He's
the perfect addition to the family and my mom and dad can't find enough good things to say about him; they love telling his"stories."
Thanks so much, Holli Banks Brown

Hi Elaine! I just wanted to send you an updated picture of our beautiful Honeysuckle.
It was taken at Pet Fest here in Charleston a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend, Honeysuckle participated in her very
first charity event, a 3K walk to benefit the Low Country Lab Rescue. As you can see, she is a very busy girl.
The weather is very warm now so she'll be off to the beach soon! Hope you enjoy the picture! Tina
